Historic Pub Guide

The branch has produced a Liverpool Historic Guide detailing some of the city’s the main contributors to the rich pub heritage. The guide is on sale for only £3 from many city centre pubs and can be ordered on line from CAMRA.

P42 Prince Arthur has recently closed. The Pub's future is uncertain.

P52 Brewery changes since this Guide was first published.
  • Canavans has closed.
  • Frodsham, Lady Heye Craft Centre, Kingsley Road, Frodsham (formally the Station House Brewery)
  • Higsons has now closed and their beer are being brewed by the Liverpool Organic Brewery.
  • Liverpool One Brewery, 82-84 Vauxhall Road, Liverpool, L3 6DL
  • Liverpool Organic Brewery, 39 Brasenose Road, Liverpool, L20 8HL
  • Peerless, The Brewery, 8 Pool Street, Birkenhead, CH4 3NL

P54 Fortunately the Belvedere and the Vernon Arms have re-opened, are thriving and still selling Real Ale
