As previously published, the date for announcing our branch Pub Of The Year 2022 is today (March 13th). The judges' scores have now been collated, and I am pleased to confirm that the winner of this years' contest is:

The Bridewell

Congratulations to Dominic and Fiona, and everyone at the Bridewell, for winning this prestigious award, especially as they are first-time winners of this competition.

I would also like to say well done to the other pubs that were shortlisted for the award, and which now become our branch Pubs Of Excellence:
Four Ashes
Lion Tavern
Liverpool Pigeon
Roscoe Head

The competition was closely-contested, so everyone involved with these five deserving pubs can be very proud of their efforts. Also, a big thank-you must go out to the judges who gave up their time to assess each of the contenders, and enabled us to appoint our branch POTY for 2022.

I will take this opportunity to remind everyone that the pubs that are ultimately shortlisted to be our Pub Of The Year are chosen from an initial list which is based entirely upon branch members inputting scores on WhatPub? every time they visit a pub. Without your scores, we can't establish the highest-rated pubs to be put forward for consideration, so please take a few moments to input your ratings each time you visit a pub in our branch area. And, thank you to all of you that do so already.

Again, many congratulations to the Bridewell, and all the other contenders.

Thanks

Matt, Pub Of The Year Co-Ordinator
